The task: challenging
Production of a specific belt system with flexible yet secure support. All this while ensuring maximum comfort for the patient, who wears the device, including the holder, directly on their body – overnight. Relevant here: a comfortable but secure hold that can easily tolerate even uncontrolled movements. It was necessary to take into account that a total of five layers of different materials had to be processed permanently and extremely securely. This required the addition of extra eyelets and loops.

The hook and loop specialists from consulting and product development worked closely with production experts and product testers to develop a solution that fully met the specific customer requirements. Not only were they able to weld different materials together using ultrasonic technology, they also successfully mastered the challenge of creating a secure connection with multiple layers of material. To this end, specific eyelets and loops were attached, resulting in a pocket with a protective flap for secure – yet comfortable and movement-tolerant – fastening of the sensitive digital medical device.
